Pen – Fiona wood pens from PEI

On September 24, 2022 Hurricane Fiona devastated a massive number of trees in PEI. An untold number of trees in rural and urban areas were toppled or broken by this violent storm.

These beautiful pens have been turned on a wood lathe and made from one of the trees damaged in the greater Charlottetown area. Due to the variations in the wood, no two pens are exactly the same – each one is unique.

Each pen has a contoured grip for comfort during use.  Each pen is sealed in a two step process. It is a shellac base with a wax on top of that. They have a twist mechanism to expose the nib of the pen. A perfect gift for graduations, retirements, or anyone that still writes by hand. This pen uses refills that can be obtained from most office supply stores. All pens have black ink and are Gift Boxed.

A – Red Oak – pewter Chrome finishes

B – Apple – Chrome and Black finishes

C – Spalted Maple – Gold finishes (Spalted is a term that refers to the colour patterns caused by early stage decay in wood. It can be very beautiful at times!)

D – Elm – Gold finishes
