These beautiful pens are made from wood recovered from an apple tree that has a strong connection to Lucy Maud Montgomery’s childhood homestead.
L.M. Montgomery was raised by her grandparents in Cavendish, PEI and this is where she wrote her novel, Anne of Green Gables. Only the foundation remains of the house. An apple tree grew up in the center of the area where the kitchen of the home was located. In September 2019, Hurricane Dorian hit PEI and toppled the tree. The wood from this tree was saved and these pens have been created from some of that wood.
It is very fitting, that the tree grew on the very spot where L.M.Montgomery penned her timeless novel and has now been turned into pens.
These pens are hand turned on a lathe and are limited editions.

When I read that the wood used to make those pens came from an LM Montgomery apple tree, I knew I had to purchase two of them for my daughter and my sister. One is a great admirer of Montgomery’s work, and the other has shared many happy days on island with me. Those beautiful pens make meaningful gifts to people who mean a lot to me. I adore my purchases!
